LAHORE:The Business School of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) and National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate on small scale trade building for capability building of farmers and rural communities.

The goal of this MoU is to make use of the amenities and expertise of UVAS Department of Economics and Business Management to impart technical and managerial trainings to rural communities referring to enterprise development and to allow them to ensure winning manufacturing from herbal assets (Agriculture & Livestock). According to the MoU, NRSP will identify farmers for trainings and will arrange trainings/ workshops / farmer classes at grass-root stage. NRSP may even supply financial make stronger to organise trainings, farmer sessions and box days. NRSP will make a choice farmers for exposure visits to school campus for switch of recent technologies while college and resource individuals of UVAS Business School, Department of Economics and Business Management will habits training actions for abilities enhancement and technical assistance for preparation of required subject material for farmers for winning production of agriculture and farm animals.

UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad and NRSP General Manager Agha Ali Javad signed the MoU in a ceremony held at the college’s City Campus. Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Muhammad Azam, Dr Rana Muhammad Ayyub and UVAS faculty contributors and officers from (NRSP) together with Senior Programme Officer Dr Mahreen Zahra have been provide.

Addressing the ceremony, Prof Nasim mentioned animals have been the source of livelihood of deficient farm animals farming community and this MoU could be very advisable for the poor farming group. He mentioned in collaboration with Livestock Department Punjab UVAS performed more than a few necessary trainings of execs for their capacity building. Agha Ali Javad mentioned that social mobilisation, human resource building, microfinance and endeavor construction have been major goals of NRSP.
